Many of the products which are popular in the market might not be as good as they are advertised. When an ingredient proves to be effective many companies try to utilise it and produce product which might not be up to the mark and which does not produce the desired effects for the person using it.
This also applies to salicylic acid products. As the ingredient became popular as an effective agent in treatment of acne many products were launched which were based on it. But only a few were able to provide good results compared to the other products. The main reason for this is due to the side effects of the agent.
Salicylic acid unlike other products has the capability to eradicate acne completely. But on the other hand if it doesn’t suite a person’s skin it can cause redness, irritation stinging effect etc. and to the worst it may also cause peeling of skin due to dryness. It was also shown to produce adverse side effects too. Hence it is not advisable for everyone to use these products.
Instead of this you can go for natural ingredient based products which are effective without many side effects. These products do not produce adverse side effects as their chemical based counterparts. Thus, those who are allergic to chemical products can go for these kinds of natural products.
