The opening that connects the esophagus to the stomach is controlled by a series of muscles. If these are weakened, stomach acid can flow into the esophagus and cause inflammation or even cause part of it enters the abdomen resulting in hiatal hernia. There are ignorant people with this disorder and others have their symptoms with greater intensity. The most characteristic is a painful, burning sensation in the chest and throat, which is worse after large meals, lying down or crouching or when abdominal pressure increases. The most common causes that may lead to this condition is related to the increase in abdominal pressure: coughing, vomiting, violent or repeated for long periods of time, pregnancy, intensive, overweight and obesity. The power may prevent or lessen the risk of this disorder (especially if overweight or obese), or help reduce the discomfort of a hiatal hernia since introduced along with proper prescription drug treatment optional.
