3. Hygiene
- Bathroom. In caring for the child’s skin is essential bathroom. Bathing the child should be daily. The water should be warm (approximately at a temperature of 36 º C) and atmosphere of the room must be warm (at a temperature of about 23 to 24 º C). It will use a gel and a soft sponge and we will take special care in cleaning the folds. Drying is done with a soft towel, preferably cotton.
- Diaper area. In the hygiene of the skin deserves special attention cleaning the diaper area. In this area, due to moisture and contact with urine and feces of children, are common skin irritations and infections (yeast, usually). It is therefore very important for frequent diaper changing and washing of the area covered by the diaper. Protective creams are recommended (pasta water, for example) after each wash.
