In short, the mother breastfed babies are less likely to have:
- Childhood allergies, wheezing, pneumonia and bronchiolitis.
- Ear infections, stomach and/or bowel.
- Gas, constipation and diarrhea.
- Diseases of the skin.
- Syndrome sudden infant death (SIDS)
- dental caries
- Obesity or weight problems
- diabetes
Despite all this, sometimes there are complications in the mother or the baby that hinder and prevent the possibility that the mother can give your child milk or the baby to breastfeed. In these cases, do not feel guilty, there are alternatives for your baby to grow healthy and your pediatrician can guide you.
If you had cancer and are expecting a baby, talk to your doctor and consider your child to breastfeed. Both will benefit from something so natural that not only help you stay healthy, but also given the possibility of increasing the strong bond between mother and child. Nature is very wise.
